Welcome to Jon Says Gabe Says
The purpose of this blog is to provide an avenue for honest --sometimes brutally honest-- product reviews. We'll also keep you up to date on training, racing, and whatever else pops in our minds about triathlons.
First a little bit about us.
I'm Gabe and I have been competing in triathlons for 9 years. I got started with sprint distance triathlons on my mountain bike. Since then I've been fully consumed by the world/lifestyle of Iron distance races-- which helps me justify the purchase of new, better toys on an annual basis(or as often as my wife allows!) I'm just an average age grouper having a blast! In between races and workouts I'm a Financial Adviser and own my own Independent Financial Advisory Firm, the very creatively named Gabe Nelson Financial, Inc. 2008 was a difficult year, with the training for Ironman Wisconsin derailed by a bike crash 3 weeks before. I still attended to watch Jon compete. Here's to a better 2009.
Jon will have to fill in the details, but he's been doing triathlons for 3 years. Last year he completed his first Half-Ironman in June AND his first Ironman in September. Jon is an Engineer who owns his own company -- Innovative Engineering Solutions.
We are not elites, pros, nor the winners of the local races. We're just average age-groupers like you wanting to make smart decisions on what to use and buy.
